Shri D. Ravikumar who is a renowned personality has an amazing educational background with Six degrees; B.com, M.A.M.M., L.L.b, D.A.M., Dip.in.Jour, K.E.S.

Shri D. Ravikumar is the son of late K. Dasappa a bank employee, and Smt. D. Savithramma a housewife, he is also the grandson of Dr. Krishnappa, a private doctor of Maharaja of Mysore. He did his primary schooling in Savitri convent Mysore, High School in Vidyavardhaka Sevadal, PUC and B.com, a degree from D. Banumaiah college, Mysore. M.A.M.M. master’s degree from I.D.S. Manasagangotri of Mysore University, Diploma in agriculture Marketing, from Karnataka State Agriculture Marketing Board. Diploma in Journalism from Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru.

Shri. D. Ravikumar, started his service carrier as a Research Assistant in I.D.S. Manasagangotri later worked in State Bank of Mysore, and then worked as a marketing assistant in Cotton Corporation Central Corporation of India, Sri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan State. He, later on, took competitive exams from KPSC and got selected as an accountant, and worked at Nippani, Belgaum District, Chamarajanagar, CNR District, Nanjangud, Mysore District, meanwhile he took up the KAS exam and got selected as an employment officer and worked for 7 years in Mandya District, during this tenure, he popularized competitive exams in his district and started guidance and training centre in district headquarters and Taluk headquarters, first of its kind in the State. Which was instrumental in people taking up exams and getting selected, as a result of this effort Krishik Sarvodaya Trust was registered, and at present, it is supporting the training for entrance and competitive exams and 100 students have got selected, it has its own buildings, a hostel for both boys and girls. Well-equipped library and language lab and classrooms.

Later on, he worked as public relations officer at Cauvery Neeravari Nigama and has been instrumental in starting a novel program called Jana Jagruthi Janandolana, a project for water conservation and judicious utilization, a first of its kind in the State most probably in this country.

He as worked as OSD to minister Shobha Karandlage, then Panchayath Raj Minister and Mysuru District Incharge Minister, and also as OSD to Sri R. Ashok then Transport Minister, Incharge Minister of Mandya District. OSD to Sri Yogishwar, Forest Minister, and Mandya District Incharge Minister to Sri. M. Krishnappa Housing Minister and Mandya District Incharge Minister, during this tenure he has done very good and innovative works.

He has also worked as Member Secretary to Mysuru Dasara Wrestling Committee for 17 long years, and during this period he was instrumental in starting women’s wrestling. All India Men’s and Women’s Wrestling, Karnataka Women’s Wrestling, and other innovative activities were done by him. He is also instrumental in implementing Digital Payment in the Committee, first of this kind is the History of Dasara.

He is the founder member of the Negilayogi, and he worked for the development of Negilayogi since its inception and worked as a member for quite a good number of years, without accepting any positions. He was only made secretary recently and he was made the president of Negilayogi considering his involvement and commitment.
